It helped me understand a lot of the topics I just didn't understand when i read through other test prep books

helps being able to see what we're preparing for.   covers everything I suppose as the video seems a bit old, but maybe not so much has changed the last 10-15 years.

If you are hoping for a very insightful and easy to understand online course, this is not it. Unless you have a pretty good working knowledge of IFR flight this course does a poor job of explaining and helping a student comprehend instrument flight. For all the good reviews I was expecting a much better course presentation.

Covered everything needed for the test

The King Course was the only test prep tool I used for the written exam.  Passed on first try with score of 88.  I had previously read the FAA materials over a two month period but found I wasn't retaining the information.  The King Course solved that problem.  I esp liked the ability to take the course on my iPad which made it much more convenient to squeeze in lessons during the day.

I have tried other home study courses, and I came back to King Schools.  Nobody prepares you to take the FAA exams like King Schools. Its as close as you can get to a guarantee of a passing grade. The material is presented in a way that you can understand and absorb.

All the material is there and is presented clearly and concisely by, apparently, your grandparents as they were in the 80s. If that doesn't bother you, it adds just enough charm to keep the whole thing from seeming too routine. On the other hand, while I'm sure it's a major challenge keeping abreast of all the developments in IFR technology, some of the material really does feel borderline obsolete. But then, the FAA is using charts on the test that you simply don't find in circulation anymore, so I guess they're just teaching to the test.

Probably the best course of all.  It was extremely informative and very well done - and having an actual DPE talk about the process and what he is looking for was invaluable.

Before my check ride I feel like I have been there before.
