I'm a geezer about to begin Sport Pilot Training. I was advised to look at the King Schools by a respected CFI. I enjoy how John and Martha make complex things easy to understand--through 'real world' flying and piloting demonstrations. While they certainly stress safety and cautious practices, they don't try to scare you.
