I’m a pilot with single and multi-engine land and instrument rated. After I sold my last plane, I’ve been inactive as a pilot.  There are no aircraft to rent in the rural area I live in and few, if any active instructors.  So, getting a biennial flight review to add the UAS rating would be fairly difficult. I decided to take the King UAS course since I had used them in the past for other ratings and was a satisfied customer. Well, they didn’t disappoint. It was nice to get back in the learning mode, and John and Martha came through as usual.  I passed easily on the first try with a 96%. (I only missed a couple because I misread the question). Remember the equation: lRTFQ squared”.  Read the friggin’ question twice!  King courses are the only way to go!

This course could not be any better in my opinion. If you really pay attention to the material and take the practice tests and quizez, you will have no probelm passing the IRA first try.

Solid course. Very detail oriented. Helpful videos and test questions. It takes considerable work on the part of the student and you need to take the course seriously to do well. If you just casually watch the videos you are not getting all you can out of this. Some of the videos require more than one watching to fully absorb. I did about 2 hours a day and completed the course in a little over a month. I passed my FAA Private Pilot Knowledge test on the first try with a great score. You can do this too, but recognize you need to go over the practice questions a lot to be ready for the test. Once I completed the course I did practice questions and practice tests for a few weeks and then took the real test. Those weeks of practice were vital. Do not skimp on practice!
