This course is an incredible wealth of information. Not wanting to waste time and money in the aircraft learning how to use the Garmin, This course, coupled with a simulator was an absolute game changer. I showed up to my instrument training, showing the instructor a few tips and tricks!

A very short introduction to both the GTN 650 and 750 navigators. This intro will teach how to turn on and check performance and databases, tune Nav/COMS and transponder, brief exposure to data base frequency retrieval methods, and functions on the "Direct To" button. Those familiar with earlier Garmin GPS units will feel right at home, those with little or no exposure to those units will want to purchase the entire course, you won't be disappointed.

Kings School is a great way to learn the information that is needed to be known for the written test. The videos do an excellent job at keeping you intrigued and focused, and the study tools given are very helpful when it comes to the actual test.

The course consists of bullet points and lots of old videos I remember from my initial CFI training in the 90’s, plus a few newer ones.  Several of the modules include three or four times the amount of time needed, while others don’t include enough.  A rebalancing would be helpful.  Many of the questions present technique as procedure, and if you disagree with their technique you will miss the question.  Very slow process - I completed my course two weeks ago and still don’t have my temp certificate.  I’m not in a hurry, but if you are you should definitely consider a different course.  Overall a relatively painless way to renew your certificate.
