I bought both the Sporty's and King School IFR programs and the King Schools content is vastly superior for the purposes of passing the test.  This course is very focused on teaching you the concepts needed to pass in detail with real examples from the real test.  They even tell you where the FAA has made mistakes so you can answer those questions correctly too!  Now if we could only get the FAA to update their test to reflect the realities of flying IFR today (less on ground based navigation systems and more on GPS), we would be set!

I travel a lot in Asia and the Middle East and all the signs are the  same. The course covers them well.

Prior to taking this course, I took one at my local flight school and also tried the two day course put on by American Flyers.  Neither of these helped me pass the test the first time.  The King Schools test was amazing, not only did it do an incredible job in describing how the IFR system works, it also kept me interested and had my full attention the entire time.  You guys made this tough subject a breeze, kudos to Mr. and Mrs. King.

Excellent presentation of the nuances between government and Jeppesen format. Allows for confidently using any available chart!

The course gives additional depth to the basic weather understanding required in a private pilot course. The time spent on interpreting a radar report was helpful but shouldn't be as significant a portion of the course.

I am returning to flying after an 8 year break - I did all of my private, instrument and commercial training using King courses and loved the way the presented the material then - nothing has changed, John and Martha do a wonderful job giving me the information I need to know to return to flying in  a safe, thoughtful and manageable way.  Thank you, King Schools, for helping me return to the air!
