mystery solved!
This is a great explanation of Basic Med. I, (as many others I'm sure) found Basic Med to be a mysterious situation. It is actually a wonderful way to make flying more affordable for the casual or typical Private Pilot. I think this explanation removes the mystery and should encourage many others to pursue the Basic Med avenue.
