The video was produced in 1994 and it's now 2020 as I write this. The checkride oral exam seemed light on the fundamentals of instruction.  There were times when the scene would cut away to a "later-version" of John (several years later, but in the same shirt in front of a blue screen depicting the hangar space used for the oral exam) expounding upon an answer given to the DPE.  John seemed to revert into teaching mode instead of CFI applicant mode which made for a VERY distracting segment as if the viewer wouldn't notice the change.  I didn't appreciate the production trying to "fix" a shortfall in the original video and gives weight to the need of updating the entire experience.  The flight portions seemed to flow well, but it would have been nice to see a few more maneuvers than the basic minimum.  If you've watched the commercial check ride with Martha, this will be a step down in production quality, completeness and recency.

I appreciate having the opportunity to take free courses from KING SCHOOLS to keep myself informed and up to date with important issues concerning aviation and especially security which is a critical issue! I applaud KING SCHOOLS for providing this opportunity. Thank you!

Thank you very much.   Great course with great instruction

This course is basic, fundamental training in Risk Management for pilots that contains great wisdom and reflections on pilot characteristics in general, including some proclivity to minimize the recognition, evaluation and management of risk.  The RM tools recommended for preflight risk assessment and management and risk "scanning" and management in flight are wise, useful and should become routine components of our flight operations.

This is a fairly brief but very helpful overview of RM for IFR operations.  The course provided some helpful new ideas that I have not used previously.  Thank you for the material and good teaching - up to you usual excellent standards.

An excellent course for anyone, new to aviation or needing a refreshing of topics.

Extremely useful course in the use of the Garmin 650/750 series.
